Both images are pretty cool. The overall saturation on both is a little intense I agree that the first would be better with some more space in front and behind the subject. There is too much desaturation above the Z. You do not want to go to completely grey, it looks weird. Leave a little color and it will look more natural. Also the sharp edge on the right where the grey pavement meets the intense grass emphasizes this. On the second image the orange trailer and straps in front of the z are a little distracting. If you desaturate them it will keep the focus on the subject. Again, don't go completely grey, just tone it down so it isn't as distracting. There s a little grass peeking out in the bottom left, I'd clone that out also. I like the crop on this one though. I hope you take this as constructive criticism, the only way to get better is to keep doing it, so keep it up!
